Reservoir (Murchison Gorge) - Notation
2010-21, single-screen video, 1920x4480, duration 23:00, no sound (excerpt).

Native tree species such as the King Billy pine are visible at the flooded gorge river's edge within a national park in North West Tasmania. A single tracking shot 'scans' the remote environment, the camera situated at water level rotated to extend the field of view above and below water so increasing total image capture - the widescreen (2.35:1) video then presented vertically. To be read as time-based, indeterminate, graphic notation, the score is perceived across the centre of the screen.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
